JOIN the FUN!: Rockfish Rodeo

Fall on the Outer Banks is a fisherman's paradise.  It's no wonder that there are so many tournaments and fishing trips scheduled here during this gorgeous time of year.  The cooler temperatures also signal the beginning of rockfish season.  My husband especially loves rockfish season; and even occasionally gets the chance to launch his zodiac off the beach to catch some of this tender, oh-so-delicious fish.

The Manteo Rotary Club takes advantage of the running of the rockfish every fall by hosting the Rockfish Rodeo.  For the 14th year, fishermen, women and children are invited to participate in this tournament at the Roanoke Island Festival Park on November 19th.  Funds raised by the tournament are used to provide scholarships to Dare County students.
