Dare County Arts Council has (Temporarily) Moved

Irene took its toll on downtown Manteo, and one of its victims was the Old Courthouse that was the home of the Dare County Arts Council.  Luckily, no works of art were ruined during the storm surge, and the DCAC has been able to quickly find a new temporary home.  Now in Kitty Hawk, situated between Trio wine bar and Spa Vogue, the DCAC has set up its gallery.  The silver lining to the situation is that perhaps the art might find a new audience in its move twenty miles to the north.  I, for one, am going to check out the new gallery because it's just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from my own office in Kitty Hawk.  So I encourage you, dear reader, to pop by the DCAC temporary gallery in Kitty Hawk and check out our fabulous local artists.

Additionally, the always fun Artrageous Art Extravaganza is right around the corner-- the weekend of October 1-2.  Mark your calendars now so that you won't miss this fabulous two day event!  For more information, visit darearts.org or call 252-473-5558.
