New Skate Park and Dog Park in Kitty Hawk
The new Kitty Hawk Park is open and ready for the public! Located at 900 West Kitty Hawk Road, the park boasts a 5,000 square foot skate park, a half-mile trail, a dog park, a covered picnic area and a playground.
In order to bring your dog to the park, you will need proof of a current rabies vaccination and to fill out a form. Download the form at www.co.dare.nc.us/depts/parks_rec/forms/dogpark.pdf or go to the Dare County Parks and Recreation office in Manteo. Call 475-5920 for more information on the form.
I have not yet been to the park, but I'm planning on bringing the kiddos up there later on today if the heat breaks. I've been promising I'd take Sam to the park so he can ride his Lightning McQueen scooter! I'll blog more park details after we check it out.
