Busy, Busy Memorial Day Weekend on the OBX
I'm a few days late posting, but WOW what a Memorial Day Weekend we had here on the Outer Banks! Vacationers are here, and we are so happy to have them back. Restaurants were full, stores were packed, the weather was GORGEOUS, and even the smoke seemed to stay away for most of the weekend. If this weekend is any indicator, it looks like we're going to have a wonderful and busy summer here on the Outer Banks.
The highlight of my weekend was an early evening beach cookout at the Nags Head Curlew Street access with friends. We feasted on crab legs, local North Carolina shrimp, ears of corn and hot dogs. The kids splashed in the tide pools, while the parents enjoyed the balmy temperatures, great food and wonderful company. What a weekend!
