JOIN the FUN!: Easter Egg Hunting on the OBX

Planning on coming to the Outer Banks for Easter Weekend (April 22-24)?  If so, don't forget to pack your baskets because there are Easter egg hunts galore for the kiddies.

If you're staying near Corolla, there's the annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza on Friday April 22 at the Currituck Heritage Park from 1PM-3PM.  Kids will also enjoy the pony rides, face-painting and bean bag toss.  Magic Mike, a balloon-artist and magician, along with the Easter Bunny will be on hand to entertain the little ones.  Best of all... it's FREE!  Visit whaleheadclub.org or all 252-453-9040 for more information.

For those staying on the other end of the Outer Banks, there's the Roanoke Island Festival Park Easter Egg Hunt, also on Friday, April 22.  The kids will love hunting for the more than 3,000 eggs.  The Hunt begins at 1PM.  Admission is FREE, but donations towards the Mighty Wind United Methodist Church and Ace Hardware's Relay for Life teams are welcomed.  For more information, call 252-449-5437.

The Elizabethan Gardens will be hosting its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 23 from 10AM-2PM.  The hunt will be divided into two age groups to make it fun for all involved.  Take part in the egg hunt, bake sale, educational crafts and Easter Bonnet & Hat Contest.  Visit elizabethangardens.org for more information.
