Join the Fun!: Fitness on the OBX

For those looking for family-friendly gym with child-watching services and a heated indoor pool, there's the Outer Banks YMCA.  Located in Nags Head, this YMCA also has a skatepark and outdoor swimming pool for warmer weather fun.  For the serious gym enthusiast, the Outer Banks Sports Club in Nags Head offers group classes and boasts a weight room and plenty of cardio machines.  Cross-Fit in Kill Devil Hills focuses on strength-training, cardio and stamina with group classes that can be scaled up or down according to your individual  fitness level.  Knuckle Up Fitness in Kitty Hawk emphasizes fitness through kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing and mixed martial arts.  OBX Adult Fitness Center in Southern Shores takes the "non-intimidating" approach, and caters to people of all ages and fitness levels, with 30-minute circuit workouts.  Don't let your vacation throw a kink in your New Year's Resolution!  Try one of our local gyms and you just might go home in better shape than when you left!
