Shrimp Cook-Off This Weekend
Looking for a fun way to spend your Sunday afternoon? Ocean Boulevard in Kitty Hawk is hosting the Shrimp Cook Off to benefit the Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research. Ten local restaurants will be on-hand competing for the best shrimp dish. For $20 you can enjoy fresh local shrimp, live music, door prizes and drink specials. According to the Facebook page, the Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research "monitors the population size, movement patterns, and behaviors of
coastal bottlenose dolphins. The health and general state of our marine
mammal population is a direct reflection of the general health of our
precious ocean ecosystem!"
