Children at Play Museum is Now Open

With two children (one of them a VERY active pre-schooler), I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of the Children at Play Museum in Kitty Hawk.  The museum, which targets kids between the ages of 0-8, has plenty of hands-on exhibits geared towards learning and imaginative play.  There's a lighthouse replica for children to explore and climb, a fishing boat for children to play in and "catch" fish, an aviation exhibit, and a "baby park" for pint-sized crawlers.  Sam tested out the museum before it officially opened, and judging by the fact that it was difficult to get him to leave, I'd say the museum is a success!

Located at Milepost 4.5 on the Bypass, the museum is open daily except Mondays.  Admission is $5 per person, and children under 6 months are free.  Check out their website (childrenatplayobx.com) for more information, fall hours, kid party ideas, and a COUPON!
