Baby Boom 2010
I have been blogging away news, upcoming events and cool things I've experienced here with my family for more than a year now. I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing my knowledge of the Outer Banks with my readers, and hopefully you all have gleaned a few helpful hints, saved some money and maybe even had a laugh or two from my postings. My life is getting ready to change quite a bit tomorrow, in an exciting and wonderful way. I'm going to the Outer Banks Hospital to deliver my baby girl tomorrow morning, and I couldn't be more happy. Her big brother Sam is anxiously awaiting meeting her, too. Up until now, she's just been a growing bump in Mommy's belly that has garnered his kisses, been a place for him to park matchbox cars and pretty much an intangible idea that he hasn't completely wrapped his mind around. And this time tomorrow, she'll be a living, breathing little girl in the outside world. My heart is brimming over with love and happiness for her already.
Sadly, this means that I will be stepping away from my blog for a month or so as I adjust to being a mommy of two. It will be a sleep-deprived, blurry and wonderful time that I'm both looking forward to and anxious about. In my time away, Jodie will be blogging in my place, and I'm sure she'll do a wonderful job keeping Joe Lamb's readers up to date with the latest in Outer Banks news and events. So until then, dear readers, enjoy the summer and your time here on the Outer Banks. I'll return as soon as possible!
