Winks in Kitty Hawk Re-Opens!
I was saddened this past winter when I heard that an Outer Banks icon--the Winks convenience store on the Beach Road in Kitty Hawk--was closing its doors. Just a hop, skip and a jump from my office, Winks was the convenient and friendly pit stop I often made when I wanted a soda or quick snack. Always greeted with a smile, I enjoyed frequenting this local business... and I know others felt the same. I think someone even started a Facebook page dedicated to bringing Winks back! And so I was pleased to hear that they decided to open their doors back up at the beginning of the summer. With a newly painted sign out front and a re-vamped deli, Winks is back in business!
