Outer Banks Bike Week a Success
The 2010 Outer Banks Bike Week was bigger and better than in years past... and it's only getting more popular. Bike Week began Saturday a week ago and as the week wore on and the weather steadily improved, the bike traffic thickened. By this past weekend, their were motorcycles everywhere... bringing a fantastic early-season boon to the Outer Banks' economy. I have several friends who own restaurants and work in the restaurant business who described the week as "phenomenal". At the restaurants that sponsored events like Hooters, New York Pizza Pub and Long Boarders, the parking lots were filled to the brim with bikes--especially on Saturday. So if your a motorcycle enthusiast, mark your calendar for next year's Bike Week. The beach is beautiful, the weather is gorgeous and Joe Lamb Jr.'s accommodations are impeccable!
