New Businesses on the OBX.... Just in Time for Summer!

What a gorgeous day to be on the Outer Banks!  The sun is shining, the birds are singing and spring is IN THE AIR!  At last.  Finally the locals are coming out of their winter hibernation and shaking off the chill.  It's flip flop season!  And with the spring, comes change.  Lots of new businesses are popping up, which I believe is a great sign of hope and promise for our economy.  Among the many to look for opening in the next few weeks:

The Sun Fish Grill in Corolla will be opening soon in the former Good Egg location.  Bought this winter by a couple from Maine who own another restaurant up north, the Sun Fish grill promises family-friendly dining in a fun and casual atmosphere.

The Bad Bean Taqueria is opening a second location this spring in the Seagate North Plaza in Kill Devil Hills.  But don't worry, they'll maintain their flagship restaurant in Corolla in the Timbuk II Shopping Center.

In Duck, longtime restaurateur Tommy Karole is opening a new place called The Boatyard just south of The Sanderling.  Tommy also owns Fin & Claw and Pine Island Diner in Corolla.

Dirty Dick's is building a new location for their ever-popular restaurant in Avon.  They hope to be finished by late spring/early summer.

I'm sure I've missed quite a few new places, so please respond to my blog if you see a serious omission!
