Give Local Art for Christmas
It's a little late, but better late than never...
Stop by the Dare County Arts Council Gallery in Manteo for their special December feature, the "Holiday Small Works Show". The show includes original works of art no larger than 16" X 16". You'll find one-of-a-kind paintings, pottery, photography, fiber art, mixed media art and woodwork all made by local artisans. The pieces are for sale, so you can give your loved ones original, local artwork for Christmas! The show has been running since the beginning of December, but you can still catch it through Christmas Eve. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 for five tickets. While you're there, be sure to enter the holiday gift basket raffle, which contains over $500 worth of local artwork! The drawing will be held Christmas Eve, and raffle proceeds go towards buying new signage for the Gallery. For more information, call (252)473-5558 or visit darearts.org.
