FREE Admission to NC Aquarium
On Veteran's Day--Wednesday, November 11th--admission to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island will be FREE to everyone from 9AM-5PM. If you've never been to the Aquarium, this is the day to go. I take my two-year-old son every couple of months, and each time he finds something new he loves. This past time (just last week for Trick-or-Treat Under the Sea), Sam could not get enough of the alligators. I must've heard, "Mommy, look! Ally-gators!" about fifteen times! Another favorite was the touch tank, although Sam wanted to put his whole arm in the water. The shark tank was another big hit; it's one of the few times that I've seen my very active boy stand completely still and mesmerized. But the Aquarium isn't just for little ones, adults will enjoy learning about local aquatic life and our unique maritime forests. Take advantage of this FREE day... the only other freebie day the Aquarium offers is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
