Arrrgh! Pirate Fun on the OBX

Aye, Matey... Gather up the wee ones and take them down to Roanoke Island Festival Park this Friday to meet Captain Jack Sparrow, Blackbeard and their crew!  From 2-4:30PM Blackbeard and company will be on hand to tell their tales, engage in duels and sign autographs for their young fans.  There will be a treasure hunt for kids aboard the Elizabeth II and in the Settlement Site.  This event is in conjunction with Kitty Hawk Kites' annual Outer Banks Pirate Festival.  As part of the festival, bands of pirates will be invading local restaurants such as the Jolly Roger, the Outer Banks Brewing Station, Pamlico Jack's and The Dunes.  For more information and other pirate-themed events, visit roanokeisland.com or kittyhawk.com.
