Tropical Storm Danny Expected to Weaken

The latest news from the Weather Channel is that Tropical Storm Danny is weakening, struggling to maintain 40mph winds.  It is moving slowly northwest at 10mph.  The Outer Banks is currently under a "tropical storm watch", which means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the next 36 hours.  Forecasters expect the Outer Banks to receive heavy rain tonight, as Danny heads north.  Please be aware that rip currents can be very dangerous during storms, and that red flags might be flying on the beaches.

I would like to report that it is 4pm on the Outer Banks on Friday Aug 28th - The sun is shining - it's a little breezy. Don't let Danny scare you - it's a little wind and some rain and then it goes away!
