Hurricane Bill Expected to Bring Big Waves
Surfers are taking great delight in the latest hurricane to form in the Atlantic, Big Bill. As of today, no weather models predict Bill coming ashore on any part of the continental U.S., but we will likely see some outstanding waves as he makes his way north in the Atlantic. My surfer friends tell me that Saturday's waves will likely be the best we've seen in a long time. I must add, this is no time for novice surfers to attempt the sport... surfing is difficult enough when waves are only waist-high. Pull up a beach chair and watch the pros make it look easy--you should see quite a show!
