Flex Pass at the OBX YMCA
If you're worried about missing your workout while here on vacation, then set your mind at ease For $75 you can buy a weekly pass to the Outer Banks YMCA in Nags Head. Family passes are $95. The "Flex Pass" allows all-access to the YMCA's facilities such as the fitness center, outdoor pool and kids' water spray park, indoor pool, sauna, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and skatepark. In addition, you can take any number of the YMCA's group classes (pilates, yoga, spinning, etc.), relax with a massage at member rates, utilize the ChildWatch (free babysitting during your workout), and take advantage of the free "Parent's Night Out" (babysitting for an evening). Adam, Sam and I are members of the YMCA, and we use their facilities on a pretty regular basis. This time of year we like to take Sam to the pool in the evenings. The water spray park is his favorite, and we always run into other little kids his age that want to play. It's a great way to spend an hour or two before dinner time wearing out a busy toddler!
