Lunafest OBX... Short Films By, For & About Women

The Dare County Arts Council is hosting their annual Lunafest OBX, a women's film festival that raises funds for the DCAC and The Breast Cancer Fund, at Kelly's Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern next month on Wednesday April 15.  According to the Lunafest website: "Lunafest was established in 2000 by Luna, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, to simultaneously promote women filmmakers, raise awareness for women's issues, and support worthy women's nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada."  Lunafest OBX will include a screening of the trailer "Dead Girl Walking", a documentary about Outer Banks musician Marcy Brenner and her fight with cancer.  Doors open at 6 PM and the films begin at 7 PM.  Tickets are $10.  Visit lunafest.org for more information or call the DCAC at 252-473-5888.
