Manteo Tree Lighting and Parade

Celebrate the holiday season this weekend in Manteo with the town's Christmas festivities.  Friday night December 5th at 5:45 pm be sure to catch the town's annual Christmas Tree Lighting.  Children can visit with Santa Claus after the ceremony at the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum.  The Christmas Parade through downtown Manteo starts the following morning, December 6th at 11am.  The parade's Grand Marshall, William Ivey Long II is a Tony award winning costume designer.  He'll be speaking on Sunday at 2 pm at Manteo's Town Hall about his life and successful career on Broadway.  All events are free and open to the public.  Visit townofmanteo.com for more information and to see a schedule of events.
