Festival of Trees

The season is in full swing... and that means it's time again for Hotline's annual Festival of Trees!  Hotline is a local non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention and shelter to battered women and children and raises awareness about domestic and sexual violence.  From December 4-6, pop by the Outer Banks Brewing Station to check out dozens of trees decorated and donated by local businesses.  The trees--adorned with fabulous goodies and gift certificates for services and retaurants--are auctioned off to the highest bidder.  From Thursday through Saturday there will be visits from Santa Claus, children's crafts, musical performances, a holiday bazaar and a silent auction.  The event is free, except for Saturday night's Holiday Social.  The Holiday Social begins at 6:30pm and tickets are $25.  Visit obhotline.org for more information and to see a schedule of events.
