Christmas House in KDH
One of my favorite get-in-the-spirit Christmas-time activities is driving past the "Christmas House." Back on Ocean Acres near the Nags Head Woods entrance, the Poulos residence has been nationally recognized for their amazing Christmas light display. Al Roker from the Today Show and the crew from HGTV have broadcasted from the Poulos' lawn in Kill Devil Hills in recent years. For over two decades, this local family has been spreading Christmas cheer with their holiday handi-work. Families are encouraged to park their cars and take a walk around their winter wonderland. Some nights they offer guests cider or hot chocolate to keep them warm. Last year we took our young son Sam. And even though at two-months-old he was way too young to appreciate the lights, I know that we'll be going back year after year and making it our own family holiday tradition.
May I take this time to Thank you for your efforts in spreading the word about our Home. The overwhelming support from the residents and visitors have made our Holiday one we will never forget. The warmth we have in our Heart from all the support we have received is a blessing itself. May God Bless you through the coming year and we shall see you again in 2009.
