Retail Therapy - Shopping for a Cause
This weekend's Retail Therapy combines two things I love -- doing good for others and SHOPPING! Starting tomorrow night, several local boutiques and restaurants will transform one oceanfront house in Nags Head into a shopper's paradise. A portion of the proceeds of the weekend event benefits the Ally & Maddy Retail Therapy Fund, whose mission is: "To promote financial independence, business ownership and entrepreneurship for girls and women on the Outer Banks." Stop by 3529 S. Virginia Dare Trail (Milepost 11.5, just south of the Nags Head Pier), and take a gander at the goodies. Friday night is the VIP Event, with the first look at the loot, wine tasting, music and a raffle. VIP tickets are limited, and they include the Saturday shopping event. VIP tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Saturday is an all day shopping and nibbling affair. Saturday's tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
