Kitty Hawk Kites at Milepost 12.5 in Nags Head will hold Blackbeard's Pirate Festival September 15 - 21.  A swashbuckling time is sure to be had by all!  Special events will take place all week and include pirate history, storytelling, games, appearances by pirates and reenactments as well.  The highlight of Blackbeard's Pirate Festival will be Saturday September 20.  You can even get your picture taken with a privateer!  Fun for the whole family!
