Join the fun folks at Manteo Booksellers in downtown Manteo on Monday August 11th for their annual celebration of President Herbert Hoover's birthday.  While Hoover's actual birthday is August 10, the celebration has been moved to Monday the 11th because according to Steve at Manteo Booksellers, "Sunday is deadsville" in Manteo.

In addition to enjoying some Herbert Sherbert punch and Bert-day Cake you can meet author Mary Tatum from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m as she signs her new book Quilt of Life.  Live music provided by Eric Snyder.  If you plan to be in Manteo, make sure you drop by for the event, now in its 24th year!!
