4th of July Outer Banks Style

The town of Duck plans a holiday parade beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by music by Ruth Wyland and Friends at the Duck Municipal Park.
In Manteo, a holiday concert featuring patriotic music will be followed by fireworks. If you don't feel like fighting the traffic, many homes in Nags Head are able to view the Manteo fireworks from their decks. It's funny to see the fireworks and then to hear them boom several seconds later after the sound travels across the sound!
The Whalehead Club in Corolla will hold an Independence Day Festival from 6:00-11:00 p.m. with fireworks.
Nags Head will host a "Fireworks Spectacular." Fireworks will begin at 9:25 at the Nags Head Pier at Milepost 11.5. Jockey's Ridge will stay open extra late for those who want to view the show from the big dune.
Kill Devil Hills offers fireworks at dusk from the Avalon Pier at Milepost 6.
Remember, stay safe! Many towns have banned the use of personal fireworks.
