NC Bluesman to Perform at Festival Park

Bluesman Mojo Collins is scheduled to take the stage in the Gallery at Roanoke Island Festival Park Sunday May 25th at 4:00 p.m.  I have heard him play, and he can indeed play!

As a child Collins was influenced by his father, musician Wild Bill Collins.  He has opened for such greats as Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Leon Redbone, The Grateful Dead, Sly and the Family Stone and hosts of others.  His style covers many bases including blues, jazz, folk, classical and easy listening.  Indeed, his performances are easy to listen too!  Collins has over 300 original songs to his credit and was the 1999-2000 recipient of the NC Arts Council Music Fellowship for Songwriting.  Check him out!

The concert is free with paid admission to the park.
