One of my favorite annual Outer Banks events is the Evening Under the Stars with the North Carolina Symphony at the Outdoor Pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.  It's a great way to kick off the summer season and hear some great music.  It's festival seating, so bring lawn chairs or blankets.  Have dinner at one of the Outer Banks great restaurants on your way to the show or pack a picnic to enjoy at the park. 


The setting at Festival Park is a great place to relax and enjoy the concert. The event is free and open to the public. This year's concert is June 5th at 8:00 p.m.  In case of rain, the event will be held at the Wright Brother's National Memorial.
