Outer Banks Dualthon
There is still time to register for the Outer Banks Dualthon which will take place Saturday, April 26, 2008. This exciting event combines running and biking. There will also be a Kid's Dualthon on Sunday, April 27, 2008.
There will be two levels of competition for the Adult Dualthon, the Sprint and the Olympic. The Sprint will include a one mile run, a 14 mile bike ride and a then a 3.1 mile run. The Olympic is a bit more grueling, with a 3.1 mile run, 26 mile bike ride and then 6.2 mile run. The course begins at the Manteo Waterfront and then heads north on Roanoke Island, across the William B. Umstead Bridge and then out to Mashoes.
The Kid's Dualthon features a one mile bike race and 1/2 mile run. To register online or for additional information visit obxtri.com.
