Okay, first off mark your calendars for Saturday April 19th, for the 2nd Annual Outer Banks Antiques Appraisal Fair.  Then, start thinking about any "treasures" you might have around the house that you'd like to have an appraiser take a look at. 

The event is the main fund raiser for the Outer Banks History Center Associates, the support group for the Outer Banks History Center, a regional archives and history library at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.  The event runs from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at St. Andrews by the Sea Episcopal Church in Nags Head.

Appraisers will be on hand to give verbal estimates for antiques and other family heirlooms.  One of the highlights of last year's event were two dueling pistols that had been in one family for decades.  So come out, support a great cause and maybe get a better appreciation of one of your own family treasures.
