Dare County High Schools Student Art Show
April is just awesome with so many events going on. It's the month for the Annual Dare County High Schools Art Show featuring works by students from Cape Hatteras, Manteo and First Flight high schools. In addition to creating the works of art that will be displayed, the students also get involved by hanging the show themselves. It's a great experience for them.
The show, which will feature paintings, drawings, photography and more, will be open for viewing Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Art Gallery at Roanoke Island Festival Park April 7 - April 28. Admission is free.
The opening reception is Sunday April 6th from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Live piano music will be provided by the students of Debbie Calvino, making the event a real celebration of the visual and performing arts. This piece by Alexi Holian will be on display during the exhibit.
