Keeper's Quarters at Currituck Beach Lighthouse subject of seminar
Join Meghan Agresto, site manager at the Currituck Beach Lighthouse for a one-day seminar about the Double Keeper's Quarters. The structure is a duplex that housed the lighthouse keepers and fell into a serious state of disrepair after the lighthouse was automated. Outer Banks Conservationists has meticulously restored the historic building.
In addition to a tour of the 1876 duplex, the seminar will also include some of the history of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse site and what life was like for the keepers and their families. This awesome opportunity takes place at the lighthouse site in Corolla on Wednesday February 20 from 10:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m. Lunch is included in the $15.00 registration fee. Space is limited and reservations are required! Call 252-453-8152 ext. 2 to register or for additional information.
