If you're hankerin' for some oysters head down to the 23rd Annual Stumpy Point Oyster Feast.  The event will be held Saturday February 9th from Noon - 5:00 p.m. at the Stumpy Point Civic Center and will feature all you can eat fried and steamed oysters and fried fish with all the trimmings.  Adults eat for $20.00 and children 10 and under $5.00.

If you've not been to Stumpy Point here's how to get there:

Take the Virginia Dare Memorial Bridge from Roanoke Island to Manns Harbor.  Head west for a short spell, and then south at Hwy 264.  You'll drive through the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. After several miles Stumpy Point will be the first fishing village on your left.
