We'd like to take a moment as we celebrate our 40th year in business to thank all our guests and homeowners and to reflect back on the past.

When Joe Lamb, Jr. and Associates first began renting cottages to vacationers eager to spend a week at the beach, the Outer Banks was much more seasonal.  Most businesses shut down just after Labor Day.

In 1968 the Beatles were on the top of the charts, as was Otis Redding's Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay.  Movie goers enjoyed laughs while watching Funny Girl and The Odd Couple, while Oliver! won 5 Academy Awards, including best picture.

Rowan and Martin's Laugh In introduced TV viewers to a new blend of political comedy mixed with old fashioned vaudeville gags.  The miniature toy cars, Hot Wheels debuted courtesy of Mattel.  

While the Outer Banks has grown and changed, it is still a number one choice for vacations, and Joe Lamb, Jr.  and Associates is proud to continue the tradition of helping guests experience the finest in vacation rentals and customer service.  Thanks for the memories!
