Ice Skating in Currituck?


Yes!  The Weeping Radish Brewery on Rte 168 in Jarvisburg is the site of northeastern North Carolina's first ice skating rink.  The 5, 000 foot rink, which is covered by a huge tent, is open every day until March 3rd.   Admission for a two hour session is $5.00 for those 12 and under and $6.00 for adults with skate rental for an additional $2.00.

What a great way to have some fun and get some winter exercise!  The rink is open weeknights for a session from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and then 7:30 - 9:30 pm.  Mondays and Wednesday nights from 7:30 and 9:30 are adult "pond hockey sessions."

The rink is open for a late night session from 10:00 - Midnight on Friday nights, and 5 sessions are available on weekends 9:30 - 11:30, Noon - 2:00, 2:30 - 4:30, 5:00- 7:00, 7:30 - 9:30 and 10:00 - midnight.  Groups are welcome but please call in advance.  Youngsters should wear bike helmets and knee pads if they are new to skating.  For more information visit www.weepingradish.com    for a schedule and info.
