Kill Devil Hills beaches rank among cleanest in the nation!!

On August 7th, 2007, the 17th annual beach water quality report was released by the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC).  Using data collected by the EPA,  the report called "Testing the Waters: A Guide to Quality at Vacation Beaches" reviews the results of over 3500 beaches tested nationwide.

Only 13 beaches were named as annouced as Beach Buddies, Kill Devil Hills Beaches were annouced as one of them! A Beach Buddy montoried beach water quality regulary, and took significant steps to reduce pollution.   It is worthly to note that other Dare County communites performed well in the report released.
