March on the Outer Banks

March 3rd & 4th -  Roanoke Island  -  A Civil War Living History Weekend

March 3 (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and March 4 (from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) A Civil War Living History Weekend will commemorate the 145th Anniversary of The Battle of Roanoke Island at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The seventh annual festival will feature many interactive opportunities for both children and adults. The admission price is included in the general admission ticket to the Park. March 10th -  The 10th Annual Polar Plunge

Held at the oceanfront in front of the Ramada Inn in Kill Devil Hills. Proceeds support local scholarships to the YMCA's programs and services through the We Build People fund. It's too late to register but it is always fun to watch these crazy, cold folks jumping in and out of the icey waters of the Atlantic!
 
March 11th -  Annual Kelly's Restaurant and Tavern's St. Patrick's Day Parade

This is North Carolina's largest St. Patrick's Day Parade. Come watch the floats, the dancers, and the locals having a great time. I've talked to people from all over the east coast and they think this is one of the best parades they've seen! Beach Road MP 2 - 10.5, Nags Head. 1:00 pm. Rain or Shine.  Get a spot early !
