The Perfect Place to Getaway!
It is winter here on the Outer Banks and things slow down considerably however, this time of year is our best kept secret. Most folks thinks we roll up the red carpet and shut everything down but that is not the case. Yes, a good number of restaurants are still open and there are no lines, no traffic and some mornings you can walk the beach and not see another person for as far as the eye can see. The ocean still ebbs and flows and the sun still rises and sets magnificently every day! Sound Good? Then what are you waiting for?
The beach is the perfect place for romantic getaways or celebrations of any kind. Come celebrate your special anniversary, milestone birthday, honeymoons or even your retirement. There are lots of events going on in February from the Stumpy Point Oyster Roast to a classical cello/piano concert in the library of the Whalehead Club in Corolla, whatever your fancy you can find something interesting to do during the month of February. Need a rest? Curl up by the fireplace with a book you have been meaning to read, sip a good wine and just relax. You deserve it.
